FindMe: Your Personal Assistant

FindMe can provide the following features:

  • Call Screening
  • Hunt through up to five phone numbers; both internal Extensions and Outside Numbers
  • Time-based routing at the Extension level
  • Ensures callers don't end up in cellphone voicemail or other "dead end"

FindMe can be enabled for both Standard and Cloud Extensions.

Typical FindMe Experience for Callers

  1. Caller dials or is transferred to Extension

  2. Caller hears:
    "You have reached the Personal Assistant of Recorded Name. To reach this person, press one. To leave a message, press two"
    • FindMe uses the Recorded Name within the associated Mailbox for this part of the script

  3. If the Caller presses 2, they are routed to the associated Mailbox

  4. If the Caller presses 1, caller hears:
    "After the tone, please state your name. When you are finished, press Pound"

  5. Caller records their name and hears:
    "Please wait while we locate your party"

  6. The system will place the caller on hold and attempt to dial the first number in the FindMe queue

  7. If the call is not answered at the first destination attempted and additional destinations assigned, the Caller hears:
    "Your party did not answer. To leave a message, press 2 or continue to hold while I try another location"

  8. After all destinations have been attempted, the caller hears:
    "Your party could not be located. Press 1 to leave a message or hang up and try again later"

FindMe Experience for Extension users

  1. Destination phone rings and shows original caller's Caller ID

  2. Upon answering, the system states:
    "You have an incoming call from Caller's Recorded Name.
    To accept this call, press 1
    To reject this call, press 2
    To reject this call and leave a message for the caller, press 3"
    • Press 1 to be immediately connected to the caller
    • Press 2 or hang up to send the caller to the next step in FindMe
    • Press 3 to send the caller to the next step in FindMe after playing them a message

Enabling FindMe

  • Log into the PureEdge portal
  • Navigate to Services > Extensions
  • Locate and click on the Extension desired
  • Scroll down to Inbound Dialing Rules
  • Click the dropdown box next to the desired Route Option and select FindMe
  • Click Save

FindMe settings can be found by navigating to the Extension Settings and clicking on the FindMe tab

 

Field

Details

Ring Strategy

Sequential: dials each of the given locations until you either accept or reject the call.

Simultaneous: dials all of the given locations at the same time.

Locations To Ring
• Make a selection from the #1 dropdown list (My Extension, Outside Line, Other Extension).
• Make selections as necessary from the additional dropdown lists below (#2 through #5) to set other Find Me locations.
• The Active check box enables that Find Me location. If left unchecked, it will not search that location to find you.

NOTE: Only enter digits in the Phone Number field; no special characters like spaces or dashes. The system WILL re-format the field itself, but manually entering special characters will "break" FindMe.

Ring Options:
Ring each location for...

Lets you set the number of seconds that each location will be rung for the Find Me Locations To Ring #1 through #5 (see above).

Ring Options:
Record caller's name...

Check to record the caller's name and announce it to you before connecting.

NOTE: this option is only available when choosing Sequential Ring Strategy.

Ring Options:
Give the caller the option...

Check to give the caller the option of transferring to voicemail among each location defined above.

NOTE: this option is only available when choosing Sequential Ring Strategy.

If Not Answered

Select where to route the call if the call is not picked up within the duration specified in the Ring Each Location for... option.

NOTE: this option is only available when Simultaneous Ring Strategy is chosen.

Time Settings
• Specify whether the Find Me feature is always active or only during the hours specified.
• When specifying hours, enter times in the From and To fields. Check to include Saturday and/or Sunday for those hours specified.

After hours, route calls to

Specifies where calls should be sent outside of the active hours defined.
