How to program Speed Dials and BLF's on Yealink phones

Definitions

Speed Dial = Dials Outside Number or Access Code

BLF (Busy Lamp Field) = Dials Extension. Lamps indicate status of Extension (e.g. Busy, Ringing, Idle)

Service Notes

Speed Dials and BLF's are both programmed through Telnexa Automation Manager, which can be found under the Apps icon in our Desktop or Web Client. After making button assignments in Automation Manager, wait five minutes and reboot your phone so it can retrieve the updated configuration settings. 

Note 1: Speed Dials were recently added to the TelNexa Automation Manager interface. If you add a new Speed Dial through the portal and it doesn't seem to be getting to your phone, your phone may need a firmware upgrade. Contact your administrator for further assistance.

Note 2: It is also possible to modify Programmable Buttons through the phone itself. However, keep in mind that button programming changes that are made locally take priority over the preferred method of changes made in Telnexa Automation Manager. If you keep rebooting and things don't seem to be updating, you may have to perform a Factory Reset so the phone can re-provision itself. You may have to contact your administrator for further assistance.

Programming BLFs

• Log into Corenexa Web Client
• Open Automation Manager
• Navigate to Services > Endpoints
• Search and find the phone that you wish to modify. We typically use the Extension Number to name the phones.
• Select the button you wish to modify or click Plus icon at the bottom of the list to add an additional button
• In the first dropdown box, select Extension BLF
• In the second dropdown box, select the Extension you wish to monitor
• In the third field, enter the label that will show on your phone
• Click Save

Programming Speed Dials

• Log into Corenexa Web Client
• Open Automation Manager
• Navigate to Services > Endpoints
• Search and find the phone that you wish to modify. We typically use the Extension Number to name the phones.
• Select the button you wish to modify or click Plus icon at the bottom of the list to add an additional button
• In the first dropdown box, select Speed Dial
  
• In the second field, enter the Phone Number or Access Code that should be dialed. Only enter digits. Do not enter any special characters, such as spaces, parentheses or dashes.
• In the third field, enter the label that will show on your phone
• Click Save
